2.1 Reporting and downloading survey responses

Updated on

A report listing individual relationship survey responses can be accessed using the URL described below. Depending on the parameters used, the report is either emailed to the CIOPulse administrator or the email address specified in the sendto parameter.

The report is available as a PDF or a CSV file.

The Survey Responses report provides:

  1. The selection criteria specified via the parameters in the URL.
  2. The date the survey was completed (GMT).
  3. The first Customer Segment that this customer belongs to.
  4. The second Customer Segment that this customer belongs to.
  5. The id of the customer who completed the survey and the segment they belong to.
  6. The rating that the customer gave in response to Q1 of the survey. This rating is used to colour-code the row - green for Promoters (those who gave a 9 or 10), Passives (those who gave a 7 or 8), Detractors (6 and below).
  7. Whether or not this survey was competed before the cut-off date for the survey. Surveys shown as "Y" were received before the cut-off date and are used to calculate Net Promoter Scores. Surveys shown as "N" were received after the cut-off-date for the survey and are not used in any Net Promoter Score calculation.
  8. Verbatim feedback given in response to Q2 and Q3 of the survey.

CSV Format

When the report is requested as a CSV with format=csv, the CSV file contains the same information as shown on the PDF report.

Analysing verbatim feedback in a spreadsheet is critical to getting insights from customer feedback. This blog post explains how you to do this.

Forming the URL

To request a Relationship Survey Responses report, use this URL

https://app.cio-pulse.com/relationship-survey-responses?cpc={your Client Portal Code}

You can use any of the following parameters, prefixing each parameter name with a &:

  • rsid Mandatory. The id of the relationship survey you wish to report on.
  • sgid1 Optional. Include survey responses for this Customer Segment 1.
  • sgid2 Optional. Include survey responses for this Customer Segment 2.
  • sort Optional. Specify a sort sequence from five predefined options, 1-5. (refer below for more information).
  • format Optional. The format of the report, csv or pdf.
  • sendto Optional. Specify who to email the report to - admin, select or an authorised email address, e.g. [email protected]. See below for a more detailed explanation.
  • min Optional. Includes survey responses where satisfaction rating > = this value (1-10).
  • max Optional. Includes survey responses where satisfaction rating < = this value (1-10).

The from and to dates are GMT dates.

Understanding the &sendto parameter

The sendto parameter is used to specify who to email the report to: admin, select or an authorised email address, e.g. [email protected].

When sendto=admin is specified, the report will be emailed to the 'Send-to Administrator' specified in your Preferences. If the the 'Send-to Administrator' field is blank in your Preferences, CIOPulse will send the report to the Master Administrator for your organisation.

When sendto=select, a dialog box will appear, enabling you to choose from a list of authorised recipients. Authorised email addresses are maintained in your Preferences ('Additional Send-to Recipients' field).

Omitting the sendto parameter is the same as specifying sendto=admin.

Sort sequences

The sort parameter is used to sort the survey responses in the PDF report.

The sort parameter accepts any of these values:

  • 1 Rating, ascending (default sort sequence when a sort option is not specified).
  • 2 Rating, descending.
  • 3 Segment 1, Segment 2, Rating, ascending.
  • 4 Segment 2, Segment 1, Rating, ascending.
  • 5 Customer, ascending
