2.2 CIOPulse administrator responsibilities

Updated on

When you subscribe to CIOPulse, you are required to appoint one or more CIOPulse Administrators. The number of administrators will depend on your license.  One administrator will be the Master Administrator and the others, Supporting Administrators.

The responsibilities of the Master Administrator are:

  • Manage approvals/suspensions/deletions of Supporting Administrators.
  • Coordinate the implementation steps needed to get CIOPulse up and running in your organisation.
  • Ensure that your subscription renewal payment is made before the end of your subscription (see our Terms of Use).

Master and Supporting Admininstrators:

  • Be the authorised contacts for CIOPulse support staff and field questions from colleagues about CIOPulse. This includes raising privacy and security questions or concerns.
  • Use the CIOPulse Portal to maintain the list of Support Groups, Support Lead contact details, Customer Segments, and organisation preferences.
  • Use the CIOPulse Portal to correct any survey data errors, e.g. surveys completed for Support Groups that have not been set up in the Portal.
  • Be familiar with all the reports and information provided by CIOPulse, and how to access them.
  • Ensure Support Leads and managers have the knowledge and skills they need to understand and apply the information provided by CIOPulse. CIOPulse is just a tool. To realise the benefits you have to actually use it!
  • Ensure Support Leads and managers have the browser bookmarks they need to access CIOPulse information for their Support Groups. This article may help you get started.
  • Ensure that CIOPulse's monthly management report is distributed to those who need it. The 'Monthly Report Recipients' setting of your Instance Preferences in the Portal can help you do this..
  • Setup relationship surveys as required, e.g. to run annual IT surveys, or collect feedback for a specific project or initiative.
  • Ensure that CIOPulse news and updates (e.g. regarding planned outages and new features) are communicated to interested parties. The 'Product Comms Recipients' setting of your Organisation Preferences in the Portal can help you do this.
